Several road closures are set to disrupt drivers in Hillingdon in January with utility works set to be carried out in the north of the borough.
This will see four roads closed, however not all will require diversion routes. The longest closure is set to last for 12 weeks.
Sleaford Close in Ruislip will be closed from the junction of Chichester Avenue from 8am on Monday, January 5. This restriction will go on until 5pm on Friday, January 23.
This is due to work being carried out by UK Power Networks. No diversion route will be in place, and there will be no order to prevent cars from accessing homes on the road so long as there is no interference with the ongoing work.
In Ickenham, Wallasey Crescent will temporarily close from the junction of Copthall Road East to the junction of Swakeleys Road, whilst Affinity Water carry out works. This will last three months, starting at 8am on Monday, January 5, until 5pm on Friday, March 27.
There will be a diversion route in place via Copthall Road East, Swakeleyes Road. However, residents will be able to access the road as long as they avoid interfering with the works being undertaken by affinity water.
Edinburgh Drive in Ickenham will also see a closure in January due to work being carried out by Affinity Water. Unlike Wallasey Crescent, this closure will last for a short period of two days between 8am on Saturday, January 10, and 5pm on Sunday, January 11.
There will be a diversion route in place via Glebe Avenue and Long Lane. Residents will remain able to access their homes with their cars during this period.
Finally, Springwell Lane in Harefield will be closed from 8am on Monday, January 19, until 5pm on Monday, February 9. This is to allow for works to be carried out by Cadent Gas.
Diversion route will be in place via Hill End Road, Rickmansworth Road, Park Lane, Coppermill Lane, Old Uxbridge Road, Denham Way, Uxbridge Road and vice versa. Like the earlier road closures, residents will still have vehicular access to the road as long as they avoid interfering with the work being carried out.
