Hillingdon Conservatives held on to two seats in Hillingdon West in Thursday's by-election.
Councillor Adam Bennett and Councillor Reeta Chamdal were re-elected following the delayed vote. The contest for Hillingdon West had been scheduled to take place on May 7, in line with the local elections, however it was delayed following the death of Shaun Cooling, the Reform UK candidate.
Despite the victory, the Conservatives saw a drop in their vote share compared to 2022. The Tories vote decreased by 10 per cent, whilst Labour's vote dropped by 14.9 per cent.
One of the Labour candidates, Tiffany Beales, came third, beating Reform UK by 37 votes. However, she did not come close to usurping the Tory incumbents, falling behind by almost 500 votes.
Margaret Forrest of Reform UK came fourth with 433 votes. Reform UK had a combined vote share of 18 per cent.
The Green Party fielded one candidate and came close to Labour, but ultimately finished as the party in fourth place. Compared to 2022, the Green Party's share of the vote increased by 4.3 per cent.
In a statement shared on Facebook, the victorious Hillingdon Conservatives said: "The dust has settled, Hillingdon Conservatives have increased our number of councillors, Labour has had another disappointing set of results, and Reform's campaign has ended with some devastating outcomes under Andrew Retter's leadership. He is set to be sacked by Nigel Farage in the morning."
Mr Retter described the statement by the Tories as "silly and puerile". Mr Retter, an ex-Tory councillor himself, added: "I'm not in politics to play childish games. I'm in politics to actually do something to make the lives of our residents in Hillingdon better, and that means to say, resolving the horrendous financial crisis that this council is in."
