Notice is hereby given that the following decision(s) have been made today by
Cabinet Members at the London Borough of Hillingdon:

Approved
That the Leader of the Council and Cabinet Member for
Residents’ Services:
1) Accepted the direct award, to DK Productions Ltd for
the provision of pantomimes and other cultural
activities at the Compass and Winston Churchill
theatres from January 2023 through to end of 2025.
2) A greed that that this included the provision to extend
the contract for a two-year period, with any extension
to be authorised by the Leader of the Council and
Cabinet Member for Resident s’ Services, in
consultation with the Corporate Director of Place.
Reason for decision DK Productions Ltd and Hillingdon Council have built a
successful partnership in providing joint productions since 2011;
DK Productions Ltd were successful in a tender process (2017)
as the most value effective provider for the service, and have
since continued to provide p
antomimes, Easter shows and
workshops that attract good attendance.
Alternative options
considered and
rejected
Alternatives were:
● not to proceed with a pantomime in the future, which was
rejected as it would reduce services to residents, without
producing a significant saving;

● to take provision in -house, which was rejected as
impractical given the highly specialist contracts of
employment and timescales involved;
● to re-tender, which was rejected due to the specific nature
of the type of contract sought.
