OFFICIAL EXECUTIVE DECISION NOTICE
PUBLISHED BY DEMOCRATIC SERVICES
Notice is hereby given that the following decision(s) have been made today by
Cabinet Members at the London Borough of Hillingdon:
Title of decision Bishop Winnington Ingram CE Primary School -
Redundancy and Associated Costs
Reference No. 1026
Date of decision Wednesday 14 February 2024
Call-in expiry date Wednesday 21 February 2024
Relevant Select
Committee

Relevant Wards Ruislip
Decision made
Cabinet Members
making the decision
Councillor Susan O ’Brien – Cabinet Member for Children,
Families and Education
Decision Approved
That the Cabinet Member for Children, Families & Education
has not agreed the request by Bishop Winnington Ingram to
meet the full or partial cost of redundancies associated with
the proposed changes to its non-teaching staff structures.
Reason for decision The school did not take sufficient action until 2021, therefore,
the staffing reductions and subsequent redundancy costs arise
from a deficit partly caused by factors within the school’s control.
Alternative options
considered and
rejected
To have agreed to meet the full or partial redundancy costs. This
has not been recommended for the reasons set out above.
