Executive Decision Notice – 04 July 2022 Page 1 This notice is a public document also available to view on the Council's website www.hillingdon.gov.uk OFFICIAL EXECUTIVE DECISION NOTICE PUBLISHED BY DEMOCRATIC SERVICES Notice is hereby given that the following decision(s) have been made today by Cabinet Members at the London Borough of Hillingdon: Title of decision SCHOOL CONDITIONS PROGRAMME 2022/23 - APPOINTMENT OF CONTRACTOR AND RELEASE OF ASSOCIATED COSTS: FRITHWOOD PRIMARY SCHOOL ROOFING WORKS (RELEASE NO 1) Reference No. 514 Date of decision Monday 04 July 2022 Call-in expiry date 5pm, Monday 11 July 2022 Relevant Select Committee Children, Families & Education Select Committee Relevant Ward Northwood Decision made Cabinet Members making the decision Councillor Jonathan Bianco - Cabinet Member for Property, Highways & Transport Councillor Martin Goddard - Cabinet Member for Finance Approved That the Cabinet Member for Finance and the Cabinet Member for Property, Highways & Transport agree: 1) Approve the appointment of CWG Group Ltd as principal contractor to undertake roofing works at Frithwood Primary School at a cost of £503k. 2) Agree to the capital release request of £595k from the 2022/23 School Conditions Building Programme budget for the funding of major roof repa irs at Frithwood Primary School. Reason for decision Corrosive damage to corrugated roofs at the school are resulting in increasing leaks, the roof requires corrosion treatment and a liquid overlay to protect its long- term use. Fibre glass roofs on site are at the end of their serviceable life and two flat roofs on site need urgent attention, to undertake all works at the same time would be the most beneficial long-term solution. Alternative options considered and rejected Local repairs were considered but the corrosive damage is deemed too extensive to undertake temporary repairs.
