Decision Approved
That the Cabinet Members:
1. Accepted the tender and approved the award of
contract for the supply and installation of A+ Rated
Double-Glazed windows with a minimum U-value of
1.2 W/m2K in 84 properties as part of the Planned

2. Agreed to the following release request of £642k

Reason for decision The proposed contract is to undertake the planned renewal of

15 of a phased programme of window renewals, which is aimed
at quickly dealing with replacements and enabling the effective
management of smaller work packages and reducing costs
using smaller more specialist installation companies.

Alternative options
considered and
rejected
Moving away from the larger type of delivery contracts gives
greater flexibility to deal with risks associated with poor
contractor performance. This approach will enable more
specialist contractors to deliver installations at lower costs.
