Decision made
Cabinet Members making
the decision
Councillor Nick Denys – Cabinet Member for Planning,
Housing & Growth
Decision Agreed
That the Cabinet Member for Planning, Housing and
Property authorise the grant of a 90 -year extension to
each of the eight existing leasehold interests detailed in
this report, in accordance with the provisions of the
Leasehold Reform, Housing and Urban De velopment
Act 1993, at the premiums set out in paragraph 4 below.
Reason for decision The Cabinet Member made this decision as, once a valid
Notice was served on the Council under the Leasehold
Reform, Housing and Urban Development Act 1993, the
Council was required to comply with the statutory provisions
and timescales and negotiate the premium payable for a 90-
year lease extension. Following the service of a
Counternotice, the freeholder and leaseholder would seek
to agree the premium, with any unresolved amount being
determined by the First -tier Tribunal (Property Chamber –
Residential Property).
