Reason for decision The adaptations will minimise the possibility of hospitalisation resulting in costs to the health service and social care from falls and other accidents. This is consistent with the policy of prevention and support to enable individuals to live safely in their own homes, the alternative being a long- term residential placement. Alternative options considered and rejected None.
