Accept the tender and approve the award of contract for the supply and installation of A+ Rated Double Glazed windows in 74 properties as part of the Planned Window Renewals Programme – Phase 7 to A&B Glass Company Limited for a period of 10 weeks at the value of £449,314.04. 2. Agree to the allocation of £517k inclusive of contingencies and fees from the Window Renewals work - stream within the Housing Revenue Account Works to Stock programme 2021/22 budget for the supply and installation of “A+ Rated” Double Glazed windows Phase 7 Reason for decision The proposed contract is to undertake the planned renewal of single glazed windows in 74 number properties. Executive Decision Notice – 21 February 2022 Page 2 This notice is a public document also available to view on the Council's website www.hillingdon.gov.uk This is Phase 7 of a phased programme of window renewals which is aimed at quickly dealing with replacements and enabling the effective management of smaller work packages and reducing costs by the use of smaller more specialist installation companies. Alternative options considered and rejected Moving away from the larger type of delivery contracts gives greater flexibility to deal with risks associated with poor contractor performance. This approach will enable more specialist contractors to deliver installations at lower costs.
