Agreed to the appointment of Ground Control Ltd for £283k to carry out the d rainage improvement works at Elephant Park & Hillingdon Court Park at cost of £283k; and 2. Approved the capital release request of £116k from the 2021/22 Environmental & Recreational Initiatives budget and £ 268k from the 2021/22 General Capital Contingency budget for the funding of flood mitigation works at Elephant Park & Hillingdon Court Park. Reason for decision Flooding within the areas of these two parks has become too common and, without intervention, local residents will continue to experience flooding in their homes and park users will not have regular access to the parks. Alternative options considered and rejected The Cabinet Members could have decided not to progress with the works.
