Decision Approved
That the Leader of the Council and Cabinet Member for
Residents’ Services accept ed the tender from Ground
Control Limited for the provision of flood alleviation works
at Cranford Park Estate on behalf of the London Borough of
Hillingdon for a Three-Month period from 3 January 2024 to
31 March 2024 and at the value of £299,995.49.
Reason for decision A procurement exercise was carried out in accordance with the
Council Standing Orders to obtain formal tenders to undertake
the flood alleviation works at Cranford Park Estate.
It was concluded that the tender submitted by Ground Control
Limited represented best value and therefore this company was
invited to undertake the contract.
Alternative options
considered and
rejected
If a contractor were not appointed, the grant funding and delivery
of the project would be at risk. The Council could have awarded
the contract to a different contractor, but this is not
recommended as it would not offer best value.
