That the Leader of the Council and the Cabinet Member for
Residents’ Services:
1. Accepted the tender from Allies and Morrison LLP to
carry out the process of researching and writing the
Uxbridge Town Centre masterplan for the cost of £128,333;
2. Approved the appointment of Brunel University London
to undertake the community engagement aspect of the
Uxbridge Town Centre masterplan programme at the cost
of £41,250.
Reason for decision The recommended consultants have proposed a multi-
disciplinary team that contains expertise in all the key areas
required to complete the Uxbridge masterplan design to an
excellent standard.
This report also proposes the appointment of Brunel University
London to undertake the public consultation element of the town
centre masterplan, in partnership with Allies and Morrison LLP.

The Cabinet Member s could have agreed to fund the scheme
but not to proceed with the highest scoring consultancy that
came in for tender.
