Notice is hereby given that the following decision(s) have been made today by

Approved
That the Leader of the Council and Cabinet Member for
Residents’ Services agree d to extend the current contract
with Indiolodge Ltd (trading as ‘Drayton Fencing’) for the
provision of f encing services to the London Borough of
Hillingdon for a one -year period to April 2024 and at the
estimated contract cost of £450,000 for the period.
Reason for decision The Council has a duty of care to repair and replace damaged
areas of fencing/gates/bollards /barriers that represent a risk to
park users or the park itself.
Drayton Fencing also carry out installation of park furniture such
as bins/benches/shelters etc, together with installation of sports
goals, signage, repairs to pedestrian footbridges, decked areas,
fishing platforms/swims, supply of high security locks/keys for
parks barriers, supply and install allotment water troughs,
redecoration of Gates Bins, benches and some structures within
parks.
Drayton Fencing have demonstrated that they are able to
respond to emergency works within a matter of hours to make
damage safe and/or ready for repairs which is essential to our
service.

Alternative options

The option to not have a contractor to undertake these works
will ultimately result in decline in standard of fencing and park
security and risk insurance claims against the Council.
