Cabinet Member Decision Notice – 11 February 2021 OFFICIAL DECISION NOTICE PUBLISHED BY DEMOCRATIC SERVICES ON 11 FEBRUARY 2021 The Leader of the Council and the Cabinet Member for Property & Infrastructure have made the following decision today: 1. LEADER OF THE COUNCIL, CABINET MEMBER FOR PROPERTY AND INFRASTRUCTURE TENDER AWARD: GARAGE DOORS – MAINTENANCE, RENEWAL AND REPAIRS DECISION: That the Leader of the Council and the Cabinet Member for Property & Infrastructure accept the tender received from Secure Parking and Storage Ltd. for the Borough- wide Garage Doors - Maintenance, Renewal and Repair and associated services maintenance contract at a cost of £132,000 for a 3 -year period, furthermore, agreeing this includes a 1-year option to extend, subject to further approval. REASONS FOR THE DECISION MADE The contract for Garage Doors - Maintenance, Renewal and Repairs is essential to ensure that all Council owned garages are retained to a high standard for renting to residents. Any garage doors reported as being defective will be fully maintained - serviced or replaced as required - when residents or the general public report them as being defective or damaged. All work required to repair a garage door will be carried out to minimise disruption to residents. Officers procured the works via open tender , and the "'most economically advantageous tender" received is from Secure Parking and Storage Ltd, which complies with the Council's specification issued to deal with Garage door repairs, renewals and associated services. ALTERNATIVES CONSIDERED AND REJECTED No other options for carrying out these works were considered.
