Capital Release Decision Notice – 12 October 2021 Page 1 This notice is a public document also available to view on the Council's website www.hillingdon.gov.uk OFFICIAL EXECUTIVE DECISION NOTICE PUBLISHED BY DEMOCRATIC SERVICES Notice is hereby given that the following decision(s) have been made today by Cabinet Members at the London Borough of Hillingdon: Title of decision HOUSING REVENUE ACCOUNT- THE SUPPLY, DELIVERY, ERECTION, MAINTENANCE AND REPAIR OF FENCING AND GATING – APPROVAL OF CONTRACT EXTENSION Reference No. 272 Date of decision 12 October 2021 Call-in expiry date 5pm, on Tuesday 19 October 2021 Relevant Select Committee(s) Corporate, Finance and Property Select Committee Relevant Ward(s) All Wards. Decision made Cabinet Members making the decision Councillor Martin Goddard – Cabinet Member for Finance Councillor Jonathan Bianco – Cabinet Member for Property and Infrastructure DECISION APPROVED That the Cabinet Member for Finance, and the Cabin et Member for Property and Infrastructure approved the 1-year contract extension with Cyril Smith Fencing Ltd for the supply, delivery, erection, maintenance and repair of fencing and gating, for the estimated sum of £275k. Reason for decision The previously approved contract with Cyril Smith Fencing Ltd has the option to extend the contract by one further year. The contractor’s performance over the first three years of the contract has been good and officers recommend the option to extend the contract until September 2022. As part of the service to be provided, the contractor will be required to provide photographic evidence of their services they provide. Officers originally procured the service in 2018 via open tender and the "'most economically advantageous tender" received was from Cyril Smith Fencing Ltd and complies with the Council's specification. Capital Release Decision Notice – 12 October 2021 Page 2 This notice is a public document also available to view on the Council's website www.hillingdon.gov.uk Alternative options considered and rejected The retendering of the contract was considered; however, the contractor's performance has been good over the last three years of the contract and officers consider that taking advantage of the previous ly approved one- year contract extension is the best value option at the present time.
