Executive Decision Notice – 10 December 2021 Page 1 This notice is a public document also available to view on the Council's website www.hillingdon.gov.uk OFFICIAL EXECUTIVE DECISION NOTICE PUBLISHED BY DEMOCRATIC SERVICES Notice is hereby given that the following decision(s) have been made today by Cabinet Members at the London Borough of Hillingdon: Title of decision VOID PROPERTY REPAIR SERVICE CONTRACTS Reference No. 325 Date of decision Friday 10 December 2021 Call-in expiry date 5pm, on Friday 17 December 2021 Relevant Select Committee(s) Corporate, Finance & Property Select Committee Relevant Ward(s) All Decision made Cabinet Members making the decision Councillor Jonathan Bianco – Cabinet Member for Property and Infrastructure Councillor Martin Goddard – Cabinet Member for Finance APPROVED That the Cabinet Member for Finance and the Cabinet Member for Property and Infrastructure: 1) Approved the contract variation for PFL Electrical Ltd to undertake HRA void property repair and servicing works at an estimated contract value of £202,301 for 16 months; and 2) Accepted the Direct Award via the LHC Framework to Arc Group London Ltd to un dertake HRA void property repair and servicing works at an estimated contract value of £213,795 over 16 months. Reason for decision Officers recommended the use of two additional contractors to work alongside existing contractors to undertake the void property repairs service to ensure void properties were returned to the rentable housing stock as quickly and effectively as possible. This would minimise rental loss and costs associated with temporary accommodation. Due to the time scales and potential loss in rental income during the tender period , it was felt that this was not the most feasible approach in the short term.
