making the decision
Councillor Martin Goddard - Cabinet Member for Finance &
Transformation
Councillor Jonathan Bianco – Cabinet Member for Corporate
Services & Property
Decision Approved
The Cabinet Member for Finance , in consultation with the
Cabinet Member for Corporate Services & Property:
1. Accepted the tender from RE-GEN (M&E SERVICES)
LTD for the provision of SERVICE AND REPAIR OF
COMMERCIAL APPLIANCES to the London Borough
of Hillingdon for a n initial 3 year period at the
estimated total value of £77,305.80
2. Agreed to delegating authority to the Corporate
Director of Place to extend the contract for a further
two-year period at an estimated cost £51,369.00
Reason for decision
The Council’s property portfolio of sheltered housing, and extra
care homes and corporate buildings has a requirement for
ongoing repairs and service of commercial white goods
equipment. The current contract expires on 30/06/25 and the
incumbent contractor has declined the option of an extension
citing it is commercially unviable.
Hillingdon Council has a legal responsibility to maintain the
supplied commercial white goods within these properties, so
they are kept in good working order for residents and staff who
use them daily.
