Capital Release Decision Notice – 24 February 2021 OFFICIAL DECISION NOTICE PUBLISHED BY DEMOCRATIC SERVICES ON 24 FEBRUARY 2021 The Cabinet Member for Finance, and the Cabinet Member for Property and Infrastructure have made the following decision today: 1. THE CABINET MEMBER FOR FINANCE AND THE CABINET MEMBER FOR PROPERTY AND INFRASTRUCTURE CAPITAL RELEASE REPORT (February 2021) DEPARTMENT: Residents Services SERVICE AREA/ PROGRAMME: HRA 2020/2021 - Planned Maintenance Gas Servicing RELEASE NO: 4 DECISION: FULL APPROVAL That the Cabinet Member for Finance and Cabinet Member for Property & Infrastructure agreed to the capital release request of £333k for the gas servicing and repairs to Council housing properties from the HRA 2020/21 Planned Maintenance Gas Servicing budget (Appendix A of the report). Reasons for recommendation The recommendation will enable boiler servicing and maintenance works to continue to be undertaken in line with regulatory requirements and in response to reported and verified faults. Alternative options considered None. This work will be carried out via a compliant, current, and approved contractor whi ch is still in date to undertake this statutory work function. FURTHER INFORMATION That this report be declared as exempt from publication as it involves the disclosure of information in accordance with Section 100(A) and paragraph 3 of Part 1 of Schedule 12 (A) to the Local Government Act 1972 (as amended), in that the report contains information relating to the financial or business affairs of any particular person (including the authority holding that information) and that the public interest in withholding the information outweighs the public interest in disclosing it. Perry Scott, Director of Infrastructure, Procurement, Business Improvement, Communications, Waste Services and ICT Gary Penticost / Kayleigh Richardson, Residents Services NOTES FOR OFFICERS ACTIONING CAPITAL RELEASE DECISIONS (APPROVAL / HOLD / MORE INFORMATION / NO DECISION YET): • Approved - Where project approval has been given, these funds will be released by corporate finance in due course. Capital Release Decision Notice – 24 February 2021 • On Hold - Where funding for projects have been put on hold by the Cabinet Members, then these cannot be progressed at this current time and no capital funds will be released to progress them. You may wish to consult with your relevant Cabinet Member. More information required - Where projects require further information, the Cabinet Members are still yet to make their formal decision – it is therefore effectively in suspension. If you wish your project(s) to proceed then you should provide further details about them to Corporate Finance. DECISION AUTHORITY & IMPLEMENTATION Where required, these decisions have been taken under The Local Authorities (Executive Arrangements) (Meetings and Access to Information) (England) Regulations 2012. These decisions, unless called in, will come into effect from 5pm on Wednesday 03 March 2021. This is the formal notice by the Council of the above decisions.
