Accept the tender and approve the award of contract for the supply and installation of A+ Rated Double Glazed windows in 53 properties as part of the Planned Window Renewals Programme – Phase 9 to Beam Construction for a period of 10 weeks at the value of £376,445.10. 2. Agree to the allocation of £433k inclusive of contingencies and fees from the Window Renewals work-stream within the Housing Revenue Account Works to Stock programme 2021/22 budget for the supply and installation of “A+ Rated” Double Glazed windows Phase 9 as set out in the report. Reason for decision The proposed contract is to undertake the planned renewal of single glazed windows in 53 number properties, detailed in Appendix C. Alternative options considered and rejected Moving away from the larger type o f delivery contracts gives greater flexibility to deal with risks associated with poor contractor performance. This approach will enable more specialist contractors to deliver installations at lower costs.
