That the Cabinet Member for Finance and the Cabinet Member
for Property, Highways and Transport:
1) Accepted the tender and approved the award of contract
for the replacement and installation of fire doors for Phase
21 to Gerda Security Products Limited at a cost of
£224,217.62; and
2) Agreed to the Capital release requests of £258 k from the
Fire Safety Workstream within the Housing Revenue
Account Works to Stock Programme 2022/23 capital
budget for the replacement and installation of fire doors
for Phase 21.
Reason for decision Replacing the main entrance doors to FD30s will mean that all doors
will have 30 minutes resistance within the event of a fire. This will
mean the Council remains compliant with fire safety regulations.
