That the Cabinet Member for Finance and the Cabinet
Member for Property, Highways & Transport:
1) Accepted the tender and approve the award of
contract for Phase 2 Low/Med Rise Electrical Laterals
upgrades within 12 of the Council’s general needs
housing blocks to PFL Electrical Services Ltd at a
cost of £210,314.00; and,
2) Agreed to the capital release requests of £257k from
the Fire Safety Workstream within the Housing
Revenue Account Works to Stock Programme
2023/24 capital budget for the electrical Lateral
upgrades in 12 of the Council’s general needs
housing blocks.
Reason for decision This decision approves the second wave of 12 Blocks identified
for Electrical Upgrades, this was based on results of 5yrly EICR
recommendations and CIBSE recommended lifecycle for
Electrical Distribution Equipment.
