Decision Approved
That the Leader of the Council, the Cabinet Member for
Property, Highways and Transport , and the Cabinet
Member for Finance:
1. Approved the freehold purchase of the bungalows
65 & 67 Bartram Close, Uxbridge UB8 3AX;
2. Agreed to the capital release as set out in the
report in Appendix A, from the HRA Unallocated
Acquisitions and Development Budget;
3. Noted the rent setting proposal of Formula Social
Rent plus 5%, to be compliant with the GLA grant
conditions, and that the properties are to be
initially allocated to downsizers, and;
4. Authorised further decisions on this project by
the Cabinet Member for Property, Highways and
Transport, in conjunction with officers.
Reason for decision Purchasing these two newbuild homes will contribute to the
target of 100 new Council rented homes per year and help to
meet the high demand for social housing . These will be high

quality homes that meet or exceed all current planning
standards and will be more sustainable and require less
maintenance than existing stock. Best consideration has been
undertaken by officers in respect of this property transaction.
