Decision Approved
That the Cabinet Member for Finance and the Cabinet
Member for Property, Highways and Transport agreed to:
1. The Direct Award appointment of Playle and Partners
through Lot 2 of the London Borough of Hillingdon
Consultancy Framework to undertake Architectural
and Principal Designer services for the House
Extension Programme; and
2. The capital release request from Housing Revenue
Account (HRA) House Extension Programme Budget
to appoint consultant architects for up to 10 house
extensions and other associated costs.
Reason for decision To make the best use of the Council’s assets for the benefit of
local residents requiring housing accommodation.
Alternative options
considered and
rejected
Alternative options to build new housing stock of four bed units
have been explored, however the opportunity to extend current
stock is more favourable and would provide better value for
money for the Council.
