Decision Approved
That the Leader of the Council, in consultation with
Cabinet Members:
1. Subject to satisfactory due diligence, approved
the freehold purchase of Paramount House, 33 -
37 Belmont Road, Uxbridge UB8 1QT at
£12,290,000 on terms outlined in this report;
2. Approved the virement of £12,381k from the HRA
Unallocated Acquisitions and Development
Budget 2025-26 in the Housing Revenue Account
(HRA) General Needs New Build Acquisitions
Budget 2025- 26 to fund the purchase of
Paramount House and associated capital release
as set out in the report in Appendix C; and
authorise officers to submit a bid for GLA funding
to support the purchase.
3. Delegated authority to the Corporate Director of
Place, in consultation with the Cabinet Member
for Corporate Services & Property, any other
decisions related to this purchase.

Reason for decision The purchase of Paramount House will provide 33 high
quality new homes for general needs HRA social rented
homes reducing reliance on high- cost temporary
accommodation and Bed & Breakfast and providing secure
accommodation for eligible households on the Housing
Register.
