Notice is hereby given that the following decision(s) have been made today by

Decision Approved
That the Leader of the Council, and on behalf of the Cabinet
Member for Corporate Services & Property, and the Cabinet
Member for Finance & Transformation:
1. Approved the freehold purchase of Flats 1 -15
Transport House, 1440 Uxbridge Road, Uxbridge,
Hillingdon UB10 0YR for HRA rented
accommodation.
2. Approved Capital Release, which includes the
purchase price, contingency for fire safety works and
legal fees as set out in the report;
3. Authorised the Corporate Director of Place, in
consultation with Cabinet Members, to make any
further necessary decisions to give effect to the
purchase and accommodation being provided.
Reason for decision The acquisition of this development will provide 15 high quality
new homes that will complete this financial year, helping to
house high priority household.
Alternative options
considered and
rejected
1. The option of leasing the property was considered but
rejected as it is more cost effective to purchase the block
as the purchase can be supported with external funding

parameters.
2. The key risks associated with any property acquisition are
the standard of the property and programme slippage. A
recent inspection concluded there was little risk of
programme slippage and quality risks have been
mitigated by the early inspection of the flats by the
Compliance Team who had no concerns.

That this report be declared as exempt from publication as it
involves the disclosure of information in accordance with
Section 100(A) and paragraph 3 of Part 1 of Schedule 12 (A) to
the Local Government Act 1972 (as amended), in that the report

information) and that the public interest in withholding the
information outweighs the public interest in disclosing it.
