Notice is hereby given that the following decision(s) have been made today by

Decision Agreed
That the Cabinet Member for Finance, in consultation
with the Cabinet Member for Planning, Housing &
Property:
1) Accepted the tender from Personal Hygiene
Services Ltd (PHS) for the provision of
the Washroom Services Contract to the London
Borough of Hillingdon for a period of 3 years at
an estimated value of £46k per annum.
2) Agreed that this contract includes the provision
to extend for a further 2 years (giving a potential
contract duration of 5 years in total), delegating
approval for any extension to the Corporate
Director of Residents Services, in
consultation with the Cabinet M ember for
Planning, Housing & Property.
Reason for decision This contract provides essential services for all staff-
based council buildings, such as collection and disposal of
sanitary, nappy & incontinence pads, medical sharps and
clinical waste in accordance with correct environmental
policy.
This contract arrangement offers a complete service in line
with Hillingdon's obligation to remove waste products from

Corporate Properties for an estimated annual value of £46k
per annum.
Alternative options
considered and rejected
The do -nothing option was rejected as the provision is
essential to deliver a compliant service to the many Council
service areas both in the Civic Centre and at other locations
such as Libraries, Day Centres, and Residential Homes..
