Cabinet Member Decision Notice – 20 May 2021 OFFICIAL DECISION NOTICE PUBLISHED BY DEMOCRATIC SERVICES ON 20 MAY 2021 The Leader of the Council and the Cabinet Member for Property and Infrastructure have made the following decision today: 1. LEADER OF THE COUNCIL AND THE CABINET MEMBER FOR PROPERTY AND INFRASTRUCTURE COMMERCIAL PROPERTY RENT REVIEW – 315-315A HARLINGTON ROAD, HILLINGDON DECISION: That the Leader of the Council and Cabinet Member for Property and Infrastructure agreed with the rent negotiated by officers as detailed in this report and instructs Property and Estates to complete the appropriate rent review memorandum. REASONS FOR THE DECISIONS MADE The Cabinet Member is being asked to agree the proposed rent in accordance with the Council’s Constitution. This requires the Cabinet Member for Property and Infrastructure to formally agree to any rent review. ALTERNATIVES CONSIDERED AND REJECTED The Cabinet Member could choose not to approve the rent review negotiated. This is likely to then require the rent review to be referred for third party determination, either by arbitration or expert. This action will involve a degree of risk as third party determination may result in a rental being determined above or below the rent negotiated between the parties.
