Executive Decision Notice – 23 July 2021 Page 1 This notice is a public document also available to view on the Council's website www.hillingdon.gov.uk OFFICIAL EXECUTIVE DECISION NOTICE PUBLISHED BY DEMOCRATIC SERVICES Notice is hereby given that the following decision(s) have been made today by Cabinet Members at the London Borough of Hillingdon: Title of decision COMMERCIAL PROPERTY RENT REVIEW – 309 & 311 HARLINGTON ROAD PARADE, HILLINGDON Reference No. 173 Date of decision 23 July 2021 Call-in expiry date 5pm, on 30 July 2021 Relevant Select Committee(s) Corporate, Finance and Property Select Committee Relevant Ward(s) All Decision made Cabinet Members making the decision Councillor Ian Edwards – Leader of the Council Councillor Jonathan Bianco – Property and Infrastructure DECISION APPROVED That the Leader of the Council and Cabinet Member for Property and Infrastructure agrees with the rent negotiated by officers as detailed in this report and instructs Property and Estates to complete the appropriate rent review memorandum. Reason for decision The Cabinet Members are being asked to agree the proposed rent in accordance with the Council’s Constitution. This requires the Leader of the Council and Cabinet Member for Property and Infrastructure to formally agree to any rent review. Alternative options considered and rejected The Cabinet Members could choose not to approve the ren review negotiated. This is likely to then require the rent review to be referred for third party determination, either by arbitratio or expert. This action will involve a degree of risk as third- part determination may result in a rental being determined above o below the rent negotiated between the parties. Upon receipt of a valid call-in request, Democratic Services will immediately advise the relevant officer(s) and the decision must then be put on hold.
