Revoke the decision dated 25 July 2019 to award a building contract to Collier Contracts Ltd to undertake building works at Nelson Road Former Garage Site; 2. Agree to the Appointment of NFC Homes Ltd to progress the Build to completion in the sum of £1,561,734.87; 3. Approve a virement of £ 528k from the 2021/22 Acquisitions and Internal Developments budget to the Nelson Road Development project budget in respect of the revised total project cost estimate; and Executive Decision Notice – 23 July 2021 Page 2 This notice is a public document also available to view on the Council's website www.hillingdon.gov.uk 4. Approve capital release of £528k from the Nelson Road Development budget , following virement approval (recommendation 3) (Appendix A) Reason for decision The proposed development is delivering general needs housing and is for the construction of six new dwellings. The development will generate rental income for the Housing Revenue Account and deliver potential general fund savings through the reduction in the cost associated with housing tenants in temporary accommodation i.e. B&B households. The appointment of NFC Homes Ltd will enable the construction to progress to completion by February 2022. Alternative options considered and rejected Consideration was given to the partially built site and it was considered to complete in favour of the proposed scheme which has housing benefits for residents. Classification That this report be declared as exempt from publication as it involves the disclosure of information in accordance with Section 100(A) and paragraph 3 of Part 1 of Schedule 12 (A) to the Local Government Act 1972 (as amended), in that the report contains information relating to the financial or business affairs of any particular person (including the authority holding that information) and that the public interest in withholding the information outweighs the public interest in disclosing it.
