That the Cabinet Member for Finance and Cabinet Member for Property and Infrastructure: 2) Agreed to the capital release request of £79k from the School Conditions Building Programme 2021/22 Executive Decision Notice – 2 July 2021 Page 2 This notice is a public document also available to view on the Council's website www.hillingdon.gov.uk budget for the replacement of the fire detection system and emerge ncy lighting at Harmondsworth Primary School and associated Year 6 classroom (Appendix A). Reason for decision The existing fire safety system at Harmondsworth Primary School was reviewed by the appointed M&E consultants and the recommendation is that the school requires a new fire detection system, fire alarms and emergency lighting to ensure the safety of pupils and staff on site. Alternative options considered and rejected The areas identified as requiring repair, upgrade or replacement have the potential to impact on daily operations, resulting in disruption to the school curriculum. Ensuring these works are carried out minimises the risk of any health and safety related issues occurring. Classification That this report be declared as exempt from publication as it involves the disclosure of information in accordance with Section 100(A) and paragraph 3 of Part 1 of Schedule 12 (A) to the Local Government Act 1972 (as amended), in that the report contains information relating to the financial or business affairs of any particular person (including the authority holding that information) and that the public interest in withholding the information outweighs the public interest in disclosing it.
