Page 1 This notice is a public document also available to view on the Council's website www.hillingdon.gov.uk OFFICIAL EXECUTIVE DECISION NOTICE PUBLISHED BY DEMOCRATIC SERVICES Notice is hereby given that the following decision(s) have been made today by Cabinet Members at the London Borough of Hillingdon: Title of decision CAPITAL RELEASE REPORT (JUNE 2021) DEPARTMENT: Residents Services SERVICE AREA / PROGRAMME: CCTV Corporate Programme 2021/22 RELEASE NO: 1 Reference No. 175 Date of decision 7 July 2021 Call-in expiry date 5pm, on Wednesday 14 July 2021 Relevant Select Committee(s) Public Safety and Transport Select Committee Relevant Ward(s) All Decision made Cabinet Members making the decision Councillor John Riley - Cabinet Member for Public Safety and Transport Councillor Martin Goddard - Cabinet Member for Finance DECISION APPROVED That the Cabinet Member for Finance and the Cabinet Member for Public Safety and Transport agreed to the projects set out and capital release of £499k from the CCTV Corporate Programme 2021/22 budget for the installation of CCTV cameras, an asset numbering system Boroughwide, improvements to the Wi -Fi infrastructure throughout the Borough and a mobile camera solution. Reason for decision CCTV is pivotal to the prevention and detection of crime. Hillingdon Borough covers 44.6 square miles and encompasses several town centres. Wh ilst CCTV is prevalent in all town centres, it is a natural step to now cover several arterial routes connecting these locations as well as arterial routes into the Borough from bordering counties. A detailed review of the Borough has identified 19 key locations for installations. Each location covers a main arterial route or junction. ANPR is Executive Decision Notice – [7 July 2021]. Classification Report exempt from publication That this report be declared as exempt from publication as it involves the disclosure of informa tion in accordance with Section 100(A) and paragraph 7 of Part 1 of Schedule 12 (A) to the Local Government Act 1972 (as amended), in that the report contains information relating to any action taken or to be taken in connection with the prevention, investigation or prosecution of crime and that the public interest in withholding the information outweighs the public interest in disclosing it. Upon receipt of a valid call-in request, Democratic Services will immediately advise the relevant officer(s) and the decision must then be put on hold.
