Executive Decision Notice – 07 July 2021 Page 1 This notice is a public document also available to view on the Council's website www.hillingdon.gov.uk OFFICIAL EXECUTIVE DECISION NOTICE PUBLISHED BY DEMOCRATIC SERVICES Notice is hereby given that the following decision(s) have been made today by Cabinet Members at the London Borough of Hillingdon: Title of decision CAPITAL RELEASE REPORT (June 2021) DEPARTMENT: Resident Services SERVICE AREA / PROGRAMME: Redevelopment of Former Woodside Day Centre - Appointment of Consultants RELEASE NO: 1 Reference No. 167 Date of decision 07 July 2021 Call-in expiry date 5pm, on 14 July 2021 Relevant Select Committee(s) Corporate, Finance and Property Select Committee Relevant Ward(s) All Decision made Cabinet Members making the decision Cllr Martin Goddard - Cabinet Member for Finance Cllr Jonathan Bianco - Cabinet Member for Property & Infrastructure DECISION APPROVED That the Cabinet Member for Property and Infrastructure and Cabinet Member for Finance agreed to the capital release request of £129k from the Woodside Development capital budget to meet the initial consultancy costs associated with the redevelopment of Former Woodside Day Centre, Hayes comprising the relocation of Age UK head office and centre for older people facilities on the ground floor and 20 Shared Ownership new build flats on the upper floors. Reason for decision Woodside Day Centre closed in September 2014. The proposed mixed used development on this site will deliver commercial ground floor offices with 20 shared ownership flats above. Executive Decision Notice – 07 July 2021 Page 2 This notice is a public document also available to view on the Council's website www.hillingdon.gov.uk The Scheme will provide new homes for residents and serve the local community . The combination of rental income from Age UK along with capital receipts and rental income from the shared ownership flats will make this an enabling, self -financing project. The remodelling of the ground floor will accommodate Age UK Head Office for Hillingdon, Harrow and Brent, administrative hub and client facing facilities for older people on site. The appointment of consultancy services will enable this project to progress to tender stage for Construction. Alternative options considered and rejected Disposal of the site was considered but rejected in favour of the proposed scheme whi ch has both health and housing benefits for residents. Classification Exempt from publication That this report be declared as exempt from publication as it involves the disclosure of information in accordance with Section 100(A) and paragraph 3 of Part 1 of Schedule 12 (A) to the Local Government Act 1972 (as amended), in that the report contains information relating to the financial or business affairs of any particular person (including the authority holding that information) and that the public interest in withholding the information outweighs the public interest in disclosing it.
