Approve the appointment of Garrard Building and Construction Ltd as the building works contractor at a cost of £303,248 to carry out the structural underpinning, masonry and associated remedial works at 42-52 Chestwood Grove, Uxbridge. 2. Agree the capital release of £ 151k and the reallocation of £194k of previously released bud get from the Structural Works work -stream within the Housing Revenue Account Works to Stock Programme 20 21/22 Capital Budget for the Structural Underpinning, Masonry and associated r emedial Works at 42- 52 Chestwood Grove, Uxbridge. (Appendix A). 3. Agree the funding of £ 35k from the Housing Revenue Accounts revenue budget for the temporary accommodation costs associated with the remedial works required at 42-52 Chestwood Grove. Executive Decision Notice – 29 July 2021 Page 2 This notice is a public document also available to view on the Council's website www.hillingdon.gov.uk Reason for decision Progressing with the structural works at 4 2-52 Chestwood Grove will ensure that the houses are stable and remain in a condition suitable for occupying by tenants and leaseholders. Alternative options considered and rejected Alternatives were not considered as the Council has a duty to ensure that the housing stock it owns are properly maintained. Failure to carry out these works could provide a potential scenario for disrepair claims.
