Executive Decision Notice – 01 March 2022 Page 1 This notice is a public document also available to view on the Council's website www.hillingdon.gov.uk OFFICIAL EXECUTIVE DECISION NOTICE PUBLISHED BY DEMOCRATIC SERVICES Notice is hereby given that the following decision(s) have been made today by Cabinet Members at the London Borough of Hillingdon: Title of decision SIRSIDYNIX LIBRARY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM Reference No. 406 Date of decision Tuesday 01 March 2022 Call-in expiry date 5pm, Tuesday 08 March 2022 Relevant Select Committee(s) Corporate, Finance and Property Select Committee Relevant Ward(s) All Decision made Cabinet Members making the decision Councillor Ian Edwards - Leader of the Council Councillor Douglas Mills - Cabinet Member for Corporate Services and Transformation Approved That the Leader of the Council and Cabinet Member accept the single tender from Sirsi Limited (T/A SirsiDynix) for the provision of the Library & Information Management System (LMS) to the London Borough of Hillingdon for a five-year period from 1 February 2022 to 31 January 2027 and at the value of £258,618. Reason for decision The Libraries Management System (LMS) supplied by SirsiDynix is Software as a Service (SaaS) and hosted in their environment. The recommendation approved is for the award of a five-year SaaS contract for the continued hosting, support and maintenance of the Library Management System in line with the ICT cloud strategy. Alternative options considered and rejected Do Nothing: this option is not recommended as it would leave the Council with no access to the Library Management System (LMS), which would seriously degrade the service that residents are used to receiving in all of the Borough’s libraries.
