Executive Decision Notice – 07 June 2022 Page 1 This notice is a public document also available to view on the Council's website www.hillingdon.gov.uk OFFICIAL EXECUTIVE DECISION NOTICE PUBLISHED BY DEMOCRATIC SERVICES Notice is hereby given that the following decision(s) have been made today by Cabinet Members at the London Borough of Hillingdon: Title of decision REPAIRS, SERVICING AND REPLACEMENT OF COMMERCIAL AND DOMESTIC APPLIANCES Reference No. 495 Date of decision Tuesday 07 June 2022 Call-in expiry date 5pm, Tuesday 14 June 2022 Relevant Select Committee(s) Property, Highways & Transport Select Committee Relevant Ward(s) All Wards Decision made Cabinet Members making the decision Councillor Jonathan Bianco – Cabinet Member for Property, Highways and Transport Councillor Martin Goddard – Cabinet Member for Finance Approved That the Cabinet Member for Finance and the Cabinet Member for Property, Highways and Transport: 1) Accepted the tender from First Choice Marshalls Limited for the provision of repairs, servicing and replacement of commercial & domestic appliances, for Housing Revenue Account and Corporate Assets, to the London Borough of Hillingdon for a three (3) year period at an estimated value of £147k; and 2) Agreed that this includes the provision to extend the contract for two additional one -year periods (1+1), authorising the approval of any extension(s) to the Corporate Director of Place, in consultation with relevant Cabinet Members, at the total contract value of £98k. Reason for decision The Council has a legal responsibility to maintain the electrical appliances supplied to short term lets, sheltered schemes and corporate properties. The proposed contractor will in the first instance be required to repair defective appliances. Where that is not possible, or the appliance is beyond economic repair, the contractor will replace the defective appliance. Executive Decision Notice – 07 June 2022 Page 2 This notice is a public document also available to view on the Council's website www.hillingdon.gov.uk Alternative options considered and rejected There were no alternatives as equipment throughout the corporate and housing portfolios would need to be serviced and maintained on a planned basis and raising orders on an ad hoc basis would not provide the service delivery required.
