Decision Approved
That the Cabinet Members agreed the contract extension
option for Village Heating Ltd for the provision of the
Servicing, Repairs and Maintenance of Communal and
Corporate Gas fired heating installations to the London
Borough of Hillingdon for a period of 1 year at an estimated
value of £360k.
Reason for decision This report relates to the current contract for the Servicing,
Repairs and Maintenance of Communal buildings and
Corporate Gas fired heating installations which expires on 30

individual domestic (housing) properties, most recently

Under the Gas Safety (Installation and Use) Regulations 1998
the Council, as a landlord, has a
duty to maintain the gas
installation in all properties and buildings, in a safe condition and
to carry out a safety check of such installations at intervals not
exceeding a 12- month period. Heating and
hot water are an
essential requirement for residents and users of our respective

when boilers break down, the Council can get
them repaired
