That the Leader of the Council and the Cabinet Member for
Property, Highways and Transport:
1. declared the flat as surplus to requirements;
2. authorised the leasehold sale of Flat 23 Queens
Lodge at the agreed price as set out in the report;
3. instructed Legal Services to complete the
appropriate legal documentation
Reason for decision The last direction from Cabinet Members was to continue to
privately market the flats in this block as and when they became
void. The sale of the flat at market value will provide a capital
receipt and comply with the Council's obligation to obtain “best
consideration reasonably obtainable” pursuant to section 123 of
the Local Government Act 1972.
