The Cabinet Member for Corporate Services and Property:
• Declared the flat as surplus to requirements
• Authorised the leasehold sale of Flat 16 Queens
Lodge for the value set out in the report;
• Instructed Legal Services to complete the
appropriate legal documentation
Reason for decision The last direction from Cabinet Members was to continue to
privately market the flats in this block as and when they become
void. The sale of the flat will provide a capital receipt of £185k
and comply with the Council's obligation to obtain “best
consideration reasonably obtainable” pursuant to section 123 of
the Local Government Act 1972.
