That the Cabinet Member for Finance and the Cabinet
Member for Property, Highways and Transport:
1. Accept the tender and approve the award of contract
for the Planned Kitchen and Bathroom Renewals
Phase 32 to PFL Ltd at a cost of £422,977.74; and
2. Agree to the capital release request of £486k
inclusive of contingencies and fees from the
Kitchens and Bathrooms Renewals workstream
within the Housing Revenue Account Works to Stock
programme 2024/25 budget for the Planned Kitchen
and Bathroom Renewals Phase 32.
Reason for decision The proposed contract is to undertake the planned renewal of
40 kitchens and 40 bathrooms (+ 16 separate WCs) under
Phase 32 of the programme. A number of kitchens and
bathrooms are in a poor condition and at the end of their useful
life. This is Phase 32 of a phased programme of kitchen and
bathroom renewals that is aimed at quickly dealing with
replacements, enabling the effective management of smaller
work packages and reducing costs using smaller, more
specialist installation companies.
