Executive Decision Notice – 15 July 2021 Page 1 This notice is a public document also available to view on the Council's website www.hillingdon.gov.uk OFFICIAL EXECUTIVE DECISION NOTICE PUBLISHED BY DEMOCRATIC SERVICES Notice is hereby given that the following decision(s) have been made today by Cabinet Members at the London Borough of Hillingdon: Title of decision Clean and Wastewater Services 2021-22 Reference No. 215 Date of decision 15 July 2021 Call-in expiry date 5pm, on 22 July 2021 Relevant Select Committee(s) Corporate, Finance and Property Select Committee Relevant Ward(s) All Decision made Cabinet Members making the decision Councillor Ian Edwards – Leader of the Council Councillor Jonathan Bianco – Property and Infrastructure DECISION APPROVED That the Leader of the Council and the Cabinet Member for Property and Infrastructure approve d the provision to extend the existing contract with Anglian Water Business (National) Ltd t rading as Wave for a further period of ONE YEAR from 1st May 2021 to 30th April 2022 under the Crown Commercial Services Framework reference RM3790 for the Provision of Water, Wastewater and Ancillary Services. Reason for decision The provision to extend the contract with Wave for clean and waste water services will continue to provide the Council with reduced supplier margin costs and efficiency gains through consolidated billing and improved contract and account management. Alternative options considered and rejected The Council could have undertaken a new procurement exercise for a new water contract but as not all water supplies have completed the transfer to Wave, the portfolio would be fragmented across different suppliers and introduce complexity into a further transfer process . Upon receipt of a valid call-in request, Democratic Services will immediately advise the relevant officer(s) and the decision must then be put on hold.
