Executive Decision Notice – 25 May 2022 Page 1 This notice is a public document also available to view on the Council's website www.hillingdon.gov.uk OFFICIAL EXECUTIVE DECISION NOTICE PUBLISHED BY DEMOCRATIC SERVICES Notice is hereby given that the following decision(s) have been made today by Cabinet Members at the London Borough of Hillingdon: Title of decision OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY SERVICES FOR ADULTS AND CHILDREN FOR SOCIAL CARE AND ADAPTATIONS Reference No. 490 Date of decision Wednesday 25 May 2022 Call-in expiry date 5pm, Wednesday 1 June 2022 Relevant Select Committee(s) Health and Social Care Select Committee Relevant Ward(s) All wards Decision made Cabinet Members making the decision Councillor Ian Edwards – Leader of the Council Councillor Jane Palmer – Cabinet Member for Health and Social Care Approved That the Leader of the Council and the Cabinet Member for Health and Social Care agree d to extend the current spot contracts with Home Independence Services, Able 2 Occupational Therapy Services, Inclusion.me and the O.T. Practice for the provision of Occupational Therapy Services for a one -year period from 1 st April 2022 to 31 March 2023 at an estimated cost of £487,950. Reason for decision Following a Social Care review conducted by Edge Public Solutions in 2018, the Council is trialling a permanent move away from a predominantly in-house team to a Contracted Lead Provider model. Alternative options considered and rejected 1) Tender now for a Q3 contract commencement. 2) Outsource the whole function. 3) Revert to a predominantly in-house service. None of these options was considered viable.
