Decision Approved
That the Cabinet Member for Finance and the Cabinet
Member for Property, Highways and Transport:
1) A ccepted the tender and approve the award of
contract for the Planned Kitchen and B athroom
Renewals Phase 16 to PFL Electrical Ltd at a cost of
£394,650; and,
2) A greed to the capital release requests of £455 k
inclusive of contingencies and fees from the
Kitchens and Bathrooms Renewals work -stream
within the Housing Revenue Account Works to Stock
programme 2023/24 budget for the Planned Kitchen
and Bathroom Renewals Phase 16.
Reason for decision The proposed contract was to undertake the planned renewal of
40 kitchens and 40 bathrooms under Phase 16 of the
programme, detailed in Appendix B to the report . A number of
kitchens and bathrooms were in a poor condition and at the end
of their useful life.
Alternative options
considered and
rejected
None considered. The chosen approach will enable more
specialist contractors to deliver installations at lower costs.
