Decision Agreed
That the Leader of the Council , in consultation with
Cabinet Members:
1. Approved the appointment of Re-Gen (M&E
Services) Ltd. as principal contractor to
undertake Boiler Plantroom Works at Harefield
Infant & Junior School at a cost of £168k and,
2. Agreed to the capital release request of £228k
from the 202 6-27 School Conditions Building
Programme budget for the funding
of Boiler Plantroom Works at Harefield Infant &
Junior School (Appendix C to the confidential
report).
Reason for decision The Council has carried out condition surveys on the
Community and Foundation Schools within the B orough.
The survey has identified priority works that need to be
carried out in the plant room at this school.

Alternative options
considered and rejected
Repairs were considered to prolong the existing life of
the plant, but redundant equipment and unavailable spare
parts mean a full replacement of boilers, water heaters and
associated controls is the most effective solution in
preventing the systems from failure.
