Cabinet Member Decision Notice – 18 March 2021 OFFICIAL DECISION NOTICE PUBLISHED BY DEMOCRATIC SERVICES ON 18 MARCH 2021 The Cabinet Member for Property and Infrastructure has made the following decision today: 1. THE CABINET MEMBER FOR PROPERTY AND INFRASTRUCTURE SURRENDER AND GRANT OF NEW SHOP LEASE DECISION: That the Cabinet Member for Property and Infrastructure approved the terms negotiated by officers to accept ed a surrender of the existing lease and the grant of a new lease to a new tenant as detailed in the report. REASONS FOR THE DECISION MADE The Cabinet Member was asked to agree to the proposed surrender and grant of a new lease in accordance with the Council's constitution. This required the Cabinet Member for Property and Infrastructure to formally agree the terms of the new shop lease. ALTERNATIVES CONSIDERED AND REJECTED The Cabinet Member could have chosen not to approve the terms of the surrender and grant of a new lease. This would likely then require an assignment of the current lease which was not the preferred course of action for any of the parties concerned.
