Executive Decision Notice – 27 October 2022 Page 1 This notice is a public document also available to view on the Council's website www.hillingdon.gov.uk OFFICIAL EXECUTIVE DECISION NOTICE PUBLISHED BY DEMOCRATIC SERVICES Notice is hereby given that the following decision(s) have been made today by Cabinet Members at the London Borough of Hillingdon: Title of decision SURRENDER OF BUILDING OFFICE AND GRANT OF NEW LEASE FOR NEW PREMISES FOR THE IMPORTED FOOD OFFICE, HEATHROW Reference No. 613 Date of decision Thursday 27 October 2022 Call-in expiry date 5pm, Thursday 3 November 2022 Relevant Select Committee Property, Highways and Transport Select Committee Relevant Wards Heathrow Villages Decision made Cabinet Members making the decision Councillor Jonathan Bianco – Cabinet Member for Property, Highways & Transport Approved That the Cabinet Member for Property, Highways and Transport agreed the terms negotiated by officers to agree a surrender of the existing lease at Building 550 Shoreham Road East, Heathrow and to complete a new lease at Building 549 at Shoreham Road East o n the terms as detailed in this report. Reason for decision To ensure the Imported Food Office had appropriate facilities, the Cabinet Member wa s asked to agree to the proposed surrender and grant of a new lease in accordance with the Council's Constitution. Alternative options considered and rejected The Cabinet Member could have chosen not to approve the terms of the surrender and remain at the existing accommodation at building 550. However due to growth in service demands, additional space wa s required to accommodate an expanding team and meet service demands. Upon receipt of a valid call-in request, Democratic Services will immediately advise the relevant officer(s) and the decision must then be put on hold.
