Executive Decision Notice – 7 July 2021 Page 1 This notice is a public document also available to view on the Council's website www.hillingdon.gov.uk OFFICIAL EXECUTIVE DECISION NOTICE PUBLISHED BY DEMOCRATIC SERVICES Notice is hereby given that the following decision(s) have been made today by Cabinet Members at the London Borough of Hillingdon: Title of decision CIVIC CENTRE – OFFICE LETTINGS Reference No. 182 Date of decision 7 July 2021 Call-in expiry date 5pm, on 14 July 2021 Relevant Select Committee(s) Corporate, Finance & Property Services Relevant Ward(s) Uxbridge South Decision made Cabinet Members making the decision Cllr Jonathan Bianco - Cabinet Member for Property & Infrastructure DECISION APPROVED That the Cabinet Member for Property and Infrastructure: 1. Authorises the grant of a lease to The Confederation, Hillingdon CIC of offices at Link 1A, Civic Centre on the main terms outlined in this report. 2. Authorises the grant of a lease to Comfort Care Services (UK) Ltd of the former Benefits office in the Civic Centre on the main terms outlined in this report. Reason for decision The proposal is to lease empty office space in the Civic Centre to two external partner organisations, both the proposed office suites are self - contained with their own separate access and toilet facilities. This will bring vacant office space in the Civic Centre back into use and provide a rental income for the Council. Alternative options considered and rejected There is no current service need for the offices suites and given the immediate interest from the two organisations concerned, marketing the accommodation to let in the private market will result in delay and offers no certainty that tenants will be secured Executive Decision Notice – 7 July 2021 Page 2 This notice is a public document also available to view on the Council's website www.hillingdon.gov.uk within a reasonable period and on better terms. There is an additional service benefit in these partner organisations occupying offices within the Civic Centre. Classification That this report be declared as exempt from publication as it involves the disclosure of information in accordance with Section 100(A) and paragraph 3 of Part 1 of Schedule 12 (A) to the Local Government Act 1972 (as amended), in that the report contains information relating to the financial or business affairs of any particular person (including the authority holding that information) and that the public interest in withholding the information outweighs the public interest in disclosing it. Upon receipt of a valid call-in request, Democratic Services will immediately advise the relevant officer(s) and the decision must then be put on hold.
