Reference No. 311 Date of decision 1 November 2021 Call-in expiry date N/A - Decision comes into immediate effect Relevant Select Committee(s) Corporate, Finance and Property Relevant Ward(s) Pinkwell Decision made Cabinet Members making the decision Leader of the Council, in conjunction with the Cabinet Member for Property & Infrastructure DECISION APPROVED That the Leader of the Council, in conjunction with the Cabinet Member for Property & Infrastructure, authorises the surrender of the existing leases subject to an agreement for lease for the grant of a new lease of the library and adult education rooms in the prop osed new school building at Harlington Community School negotiated by officers as detailed in this report and instructs Legal Services to complete the appropriate documentation. Reason for decision To formally surrender two existing leases subject to an agreement for the grant of a new lease which has been negotiated by officers, f or the new library and adult education areas on completion of the new school building for Harlington Community School. Alternative options considered and rejected None. Classification Report exempt from publication The report relating to this decision was declared as exempt from publication as it involved the disclosure of information in accordance with Section 100(A) and paragraph 3 of Part 1 of Executive Decision Notice – [1 November 2021] Page 2 This notice is a public document also available to view on the Council's website www.hillingdon.gov.uk Schedule 12 (A) to the Local Government Act 1972 (as amended), in that the report contained information relating to the financial or business affairs of any particular person (including the authority holding that information) and that the public interest in withholding the information outweighed the public interest in disclosing it. This decision was taken under special urgency procedures by the Leader of the Council and agreement to waive the scrutiny call-in period on this decision was also granted by the Chairman of the Corporate, Finance and Property Select Committee. The reason for urgency was to allow officers to expedite an agreement with the Department for Education to progress their programme to rebuild Harlington Secondary School. THIS DECISION THEREFORE COMES INTO IMMEDIATE EFFECT.
