That the Cabinet Member for Finance and the Cabinet
Member for Property, Highways and Transport agree d to
the capital release requests of £124k from the Internal
Fabric Workstream within the Property of Wo rks
Programme 2023/24 capital budget for the Children’s
Centre Internal Fabric Remedials Programme Phase 2.
Reason for decision The decision made will ensure that the internal fabric within the
6 No children’s homes / centres detailed in Appendix B of the
report, will meet the standards e xpected of the Care Quality
Commission.

The Cabinet Members could have decided not to progress with
the works; however, this would result in the 6 Children’s Centres
not meeting the Care Quality Commission’s required standards.
