That the Cabinet Member for Finance and the Cabinet
Member for Property, Highways and Transport:
1) Accepted the Direct Award appointment of Hunters
for the Architectural Services for the Transformation
of the Civic Centre through the Notting Hill Genesis
Framework at a cost of £147k; and
2) Agreed to the release request of £248k from the Civic
Centre Transformation Programme 2022/23 capital
budget for the architectural services and e nabling
works at the Civic Centre 2 East Quadrant and 1
North.
Reason for decision The 2 East Quadrant of the Civic Centre was proposed as a pilot
scheme to commence the rationalisation and new desk -layout
and to optimise the vast under -utilised floor areas of the Civic
Centre offices.

Cabinet Members have also agreed refurbishment works of the
Civic Centre so the Housing Reception, and the former Astro
Café and 2 East Quadrant will form part of the first phase of the
works.
